Abstract:
"The theme of this paper is that Florida has a long way to go in building a sense of nationhood and of fostering a spirit of community among its residents. Government has a crucial role to play in the process, but it will not be easy, given the political culture of the state which has never served to nuture these feelings and attitudes but in fact has worked against their development."--Leaf 27.
