Some copies, as this one, have date of imprint changed to M.DC.XXXIV by the addition of a stamped 'IV' and dedication, signed by Capaccio, dated "15. December 1630" often changed in MS. to 1634. The final section concerns the eruption of 1631, and events thereafter.
Haym, Biblioteca italiana, Bibl. nat., and Brit. Mus. list 1634 ed. only, the latter noting change of date on t.p. copy. Michaud, however, gives 1620, 1630 and 1634 editions.
