Abstract:

Abstract: This thesis attempts to apply and demonstrate a fuzzy logic based approach to the generation of facial expressions based on a set of inputs on a given facial 30 model. The thesis also defines membership functions, linguistic variables and fuzzy rules as the knowledge base of the system. Inputs for the control of the facial expression generation are implemented in the form of a custom user interface within Autodesk Maya where users can select intensity of emotions through sliding bars. The implementation has been done by using Python 2.6 and Maya Embedded Language (MEL).
