Abstract:
Traces the lives of six Jewish resistance fighters, most of whom were involved in the Warsaw ghetto uprising. They acted as liaison officers, initiated armed resistance, smuggled weapons, and died fighting. Tossia Altman, Aryeh Wilner, Israel Kanal, Frumka Plotnicka, Michal Klepfisz, and Zalman Friedrich worked for various Jewish youth organizations: Hashomer Hatzair, Akiva, Dror, and the youth section of the Bund. They were all under 30 when they were killed or committed suicide.
