Abstract:

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a draft, with extensive revisions, of a biographical dictionary. The work is arranged chronologically, beginning with Cornelius Nepos and breaking off after Julia Domna Pia (d. AD 217). The entries consist primarily of biographies of eminent Romans such as the Emperors Domitian and Flavius Vespasian, but also mention several early kings of Denmark, including Ingellus, son of Frotho, who "abandon'd himself to luxury of all kinds," and Harald I, whose "brother Frotho 5 slew him by treachery, that he might reign alone."
