Abstract:
"Harmony in Halls Creek begins with the statement: 'The choir sings about hope, harmony, peace, reconciliation ... I want to share it ... with the people of Halls Creek.' This is Doreen Green, teacher and community leader who cares about her kids and wants to expose them to the outside world and different ways of having fun. Madjitil Moorna sings Aboriginal songs in Perth. They know the power of simply singing together for healing and reconciliation. Doreen's invitation to come to Halls Creek sets them on an amazing new path -- one which sees twenty-two singers and musicians, six supporters and one film-maker arrive in this remote Kimberley community with all sorts of talents to share and a big community concert to organise with the locals"--Container.
