Abstract:

The ring throws three lovers into the hazardous world of boxing and walks the fine line between love and danger. A young woman is married to a fighter but when she loses interest she flees into the arms of his rival. It takes a near lethal punch to put things into perspective.

Easy virtue paints a chilling picture of social claustrophobia in a drama about a young woman and her plight for pleasure in a world of social taboo. She just wants to be happy, but stifling society standards hold her hostage to sorrow.

The farmer's wife features a widowed farmer on a mission to re-marry. Together with his housekeeper, Minta, he proceeds on his quest little knowing that the perfect candidate is closer than he thinks.

Hitchcock presents: The Cheney vase is an early episode of the classic TV series. A disgruntled museum curator devises a sinister plan to get back at his former employer. Desperate to lay his hands on a famous vase, just how far is he willing to go to get it?

In Champagne the millionaire father of an impetuous daughter decides to put an end to her flipant behavior and teach her a lesson by cutting her off. When his plan goes too far she ends up learning more than any girl should know.

In Juno and the paycock the head of a poor Irish family in the 1920s struggles to hold the family together during hard times. Meanwhile her husband does nothing but bring them disrepute. The tension builds to a tragic climax that is sure to leave you chilled to the bone.

The manxman is Hitchcock's last silent film. Filmed amid the haunting scenery of the Isle of Man, it is the torrid tale of a twisted love triangle gone wrong, of dashed hopes and deperate redemption.

Hitchcock presents: The sorcerer's apprentice is the controversial episode of the long running television series featuring a young magician learning the tricks of the trade. He is about to find out that it's no trick, and the gruesome illusion is all too real.

In The skin game the Hillcrests are blue-blood aristicracy, on the brink of being bought out by a brash tradesman and his family. Just how low will they sink to preserve their place in high society?

The Young and innocent features Robert, the estranged husband of a beautiful actress with a bad reputation. When he discovers her lifeless body on the beach he is mistaken for the murderer and soon finds himself on the run, learning that murder makes for very strange bedfellows.

Eleven movies and TV episodes compiled into one collection of favorites. The first is Jamaica inn in which an orphan girl is sent to stay with her aunt and uncle, proprietors of the notorious Jamaica inn. Mary soon discovers that the inn has a terrible secret, and the strange abode is about to claim its next victim.
