A nice addition to any library.

     Hot Iron by Michael Burgan is part graphic novel and part regular novel.  I like this concept as it may get reluctant readers to want to read longer chapter books.  Twelve year old Charlie signs onto be a powder boy on the union ship, the Varuna, during the Civil...
