Since Hamilton Howze was a distinguished armor commander in World War II, there are numerous reports, studies, correspondence, clippings, lectures, and speeches dealing with armor and armor cavalry unit organizations. As Chairman of the Howze Board in the 1950's, other information on air mobility operation studies and air assault unit organization is found within papers with an inventory of the Howze Board papers. A transcipt of a memoir entitled, "35 Years and then some memoirs of a professional soldier." Papers also include transcribed letters and diaries of Hamilton S. Hawkins (fl. 1862-1903), who fought in the Civil War, and excepts from Philippine diary of Robert L. Howze with a Howze family genealogy.  Read more...
