An indenture contracting with Allston to paint Belshazzar's Feast, between Allston of the first part, Warren Dutton, Patrick T. Jackson and Isaac P. Davis of the second part, and Nathaniel Amory, Thomas H. Perkins, Loammi Baldwin, David Sears, William S. Rogers, Samuel A. Eliot, Benjamin Welles, James Perkins, Thomas H. Perkins, Jr., Samuel Appleton and George Ticknor, of Boston, and John S. Cogdell of Charleston, of the third part. The painting became part of the Boston Athenaeum collection. With a letter, 1923 Jan. 8, from Arthur Fairbanks to Charles K. Bolton conveying the gift on behalf of Judge Almy.
