Abstract:

"Java is the leading programming language of choice for over 9 million developers and is deployed on billions of devices and servers worldwide. It drives websites, desktop applications, mobile phones, IOT devices, and much more. It has been adopted by everyone from large multinational corporations to small local business. This course is designed for the beginner who wants to learn Java and for any Java developer who wants to become an Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer by taking the Java SE 8 Programmer I exam. This course is ideal for those coming from another language and who want to get up-to-speed quickly. You will be taken on a journey through the fundamental concepts of the Java language and given the knowledge necessary to write your own Java application. You will learn about flow control by using loops, decision logic, and exception handling; you will learn how to manipulate data and store it in a data structure. Once you are comfortable using these constructs, you’ll learn how to structure classes and design applications using object-oriented concepts. Once you have completed this course you will be able to write and launch a Java application and ready to take the Associate exam."--Resource description page.
