Abstract:
Shows Vilnius, Lithuania, a leading spiritual and cultural center for Eastern European Jews from the 16th century until World War II, as it was in early 1939, when it was a part of Poland and known as Wilno, or Vilna. Portrays Vilnius' landmarks and focuses on the daily life of the Jews living there.
