Map includes three b&w vignettes titled "Santa Fe from the great Missouri Trail"; "Spearing fish" and "Fire on the prairie."
Map verso includes size and population statistics, include percentages of white, slave and freed populations, of counties in the states of Indiana (partial), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota and Mississippi (partial); also given are statistics of population growth based on census counts starting as late as 1790.
