Abstract:

Documentary film which chronicles the innovative campaigns and courageous individuals who work tirelessly to combat discrimination against women. Across the world, police, emergency rooms, rape crisis centers and battered women's shelters testify to an increasing incidence of sexual assault and domestic violence that defies race, class, age and religion. This film documents the complex issue of gender equity with segments profiling three countries: Botswana, Morocco and Great Britain, that have struggled with gender issues for decades. Crises in these countries reveal the disparity in the quality of the programs designed to combat the issue.
