Vol. 1, leaf [a₃] (i.e., p. [v]-vi)--a cancel with the "Advertisement" of the 1st ed. replaced by Wordsworth's preface presenting his theory of poetic diction; p. ix misnumbered 'xi'; I3, I4 cancelled; p. 137, line 9: "becn" for "been" and line 13 "te" for "to"; p. 149, line 11 has "teaah" for "teach"; p. 196, line 14 has "agency" for "agony."
Vol. 2, without edition statement and comprising all new material, is considered a 1st ed., 1st issue. It has the following variants: p. 209, the last word of the footnote, "shearing", is set in the middle of the page; p. 210 contains 10 lines only instead of 19; p. 211 contains 19 lines and ends with, "Such was his first resolve; and he thought again"; p. 212 contains 19 lines and commences with, "And his heart fail'd him. 'Isabel, ' said he, '; p. 227 has word, "End" at foot of page.
Errata on final page of v. 2.
RBC copy: (v. 1: xlvi, [2], 210, [8] p. ; v. 2: [4], 227, [1], [cancels]: 209-210, *209-*210, 211-212, 227, [1] p.). Vol. 2 includes both the original uncancelled leaves and the cancel leaves to correct the omission of 15 lines of the poem, "Michael": three leaves to replace pp. 209-212 and paginated 209, 210, *209, *210, 211-212, and a fourth leaf, pp. 227-[228], to extend the original 3-item errata on p. [228] to 27 lines. Signatures: Vol. 1: [a]⁸(+a₃, -a₃)--b-c⁸ A-N⁸ O⁴; Vol. 2: [pi]² A-O⁸( -O₁, ₂ +O₁, ₂ [chi]) P²(+P₂, -P₂).
