Description: 1 score ([18] leaves of music) ; 17 x 21 cm

Compilation of manuscript motets, probably from Germany (Ilfeld?), probably assembled during the early part of the 17th century (between 1600 and 1619?).

The music, written in several hands, is arranged on hand-drawn 5-line staves, with both square and round notation. In some cases, the motets have been designated for use at different celebrations of the church year, such as the feast of St. Michael, Trinity Sunday, Quinquagesima Sunday, and Christmas. Works by Michael Praetorius, Leonhard Schröter, Michael Bühl, and Andreas Hosatus appear in the text.
