Abstract:

M & K 776: Scenes of VIPs being collected from the Great Northern Railway station, another shot of people lining the streets to welcome the VIPs. (Synopsis) M & K 770: Replacement title (0.07). A bandstand obscured by bushes. Terraced housing in the background (0.20). A group of men, all clutching bowling balls, and some children walk to camera (0.58). Pan left of the cheering group of children and men - all in the their Sunday best. A tram passes behind them seen above the hedge of the park (1.22). Street scenes; five men stand by a stone wall with an entrance. In the background is a building with "--Dbridge hotel Yates's--" on the side (1.38). A horse carriage, with a single male occupant, turns in the street, in the background are shops and a window sign for W. Gittins Florist (1.48). Similar view, the street with window sign for L Mercer confectioner (1.57); a butcher's shop beside the florist (2.08); another street showing a junction and four shops, a tram turns to camera with large building in the background with "Bank". The tram's destination is unclear- "---- Lane" (2.35mins).
