Collation: A¹² 1-26¹² 27¹⁰ [$1,5 (-23₅) signed; A5r unsigned, A5v signed 'A*']; 334 leaves, pages [i-v] vi [vii-xi] xii-xxiii [xxiv (blank)], [1] 2-634 [635-644 (643-644 blank)] [numbering page [x] (leaf A5v) as '9-10' and page [xi] as '11']. The anomalous pagination of pages [x] and [xi] is in the same small type at the lower right corner of the type page.
Publisher's advertisements: full-page advertisements for Melville's White-jacket, Omoo, Mardi, Typee, and Redburn (pages [639]-[641]) and "Choice works for libraries just published ..." (page [642]).
