Abstract: The purpose of this program was to develop a grant to fund a music therapy program which may improve or minimize difficult behaviors, promote non-verbal communication, and combat isolation for dementia patients. The difficult behaviors include anxiety, combativeness, and agitation. These behaviors affect the individual as well as those who care for them. The Caesars Foundation was chosen as the most appropriate for possible funding.
