Abstract:

This book traces the history of Nepal from the mythological periods extending through the Satya, Treta and Dwapar Yugas or ages, describing various dynasties. It begins with the founding of the Gupta dynasty by Ne Muni, then a new dynasty founded by Vikramaditya's successor, then the Rajput dynasty, the throne thereafter filled by a descendent of the former Malk Rajas, who founded a new dynasty. There is a brief genealogy of the king of Nepal. Legends regarding temples, towns and holy places are also discussed.
