First printed in serial form, London, December 1708 to January 1710 and here reissued. Dedication in v. 1 signed John Stevens, who translated the travels and voyages. Title page of vol. 2 reads: A new collection of voyages and travels, into several parts of the world, none of them ever before printed in English. Vol. II. and has identical imprint as that of vol. 1. Two editions of this collection of travels and voyages exist, one a large paper edition measuring 25 cm. in height and the other a regular paper edition measuring 21 cm. in height. Both are quartos, have the same imprint and collect the identical travels and voyages. "The discovery and conquest of the Molucco and Philippine Islands. Containing, their history, ancient and modern, natural and political: their description, product, religion, government, laws, languages, customs, manners, habits, shape, and inclinations of the natives. With an account of many other adjacent islands, and several remarkable voyages through the Streights of Magellan, and in other parts. Written in Spanish by Bartholomew Leonardo de Argensola, chaplain to the Empress, and rector of Villahermosa. Now translated into English: and illustrated with a map and several cuts", first voyage in vol. 1, has special dated title page, separate pagination, register and imprint reading: London: printed in the year, 1708. "The seventeen years travels of Peter de Cieza, through the mighty kingdom of Peru, and the large provinces of Cartagena and Popayan in South America: from the city of Panama, on the isthmus, to the frontiers of Chile. Includes a table of contents and an index. First printed under title: Chronica del Peru, Seville, 1553. "The travels of the Jesuits in Ethiopia: containing I. the geographical description of all the kingdoms, and provinces of that empire; the natural and political history; the manners, customs, and religion of those people, &c. II. Travels in Arabia Faelix, wherein many things of that country, not mention'd in other books of this nature, are treated of, as a particular description of Aden, Moca, and several other places. This work is a translation from the last part of: Relaciones de Pedro Teixeira, Antwerp, 1610. "A voyage to Madagascar, the adjacent islands, and coast of Africk. By Francis Cauche, of Roan", fourth voyage in vol. 2, has separate caption title, pagination, and register. Includes an index.
