Includes paper (1985) by Donna Peters entitled "River Crossing Between Old Lyme and Old Saybrook"; article (1947) by Felix Frankfurter and clippings regarding Judge Learned Hand; maritime history (n.d.) of the town of Essex, Conn., by J. Stuart Rankin, Jr.; MA thesis (31 p., 1977) by Ronna L. Reynolds entitled "Educational House Tour: A Case Study in Wethersfield, Connecticut"; articles on fishing and buildings in Old Lyme; and funeral sermons for Rev. Nathan Strong by Rev. Nathan Perkins (1817), for Gov. Matthew Griswold by Rev. Lathrop Rockwell (1802), and Phebe Griswold Parsons (wife of Jonathan Parsons), by John Searl, pastor of the church in Stoneham, Mass., who studied for the ministry under Jonathan Parsons in Old Lyme (54 p., 1770).
