Summary:
Memoirs of a Jew, born in 1923 in Hamburg, who moved with his family to Antwerp before the Nazi rise to power. When Belgium was invaded, they fled to France and found temporary refuge in Montagnac (near Montpellier) in the Vichy zone. In 1942 Feldman's mother and three sisters, as well as his aunt and three of her children, were deported and killed at Auschwitz. French neighbors protected Feldman and his father.  Read more...
