Educator and Union Army officer of Massachusetts. Letters from Dame to his wife, Nancy Isabel (Arnold) Dame, written from Fortress Monroe, Va., Bayou St. John and Gentilly, La., and Pensacola, Fla., during his Civil War service with the 15th Battery, Massachusetts Volunteer Light Artillery, describing the course of the war, attitudes of Southerners, conditions of Blacks, and his activities in the field, particularly the battle at Fort Blakely, Mobile, Ala., 1865; diaries (1863-64) written while stationed at New Orleans, La., describing camp life and surrounding countryside, particularly the flora; and letters from his wife, family friends, and Edmund Dascomb, his roommate while a student at Tufts College, Medford, Mass.

Lorin Dame Civil War letters

I've looked at some of these letters on microfilm years ago. Does anybody know if there are digital copies anywhere?
