Summary:	The papers contain personal and society correspondence, topical files, committee files, memoranda, minutes, activities files and membership lists pertaining to his rhododendron interests and involvement as Director, President, and Vice-President of the American Rhododendron Society and President of the Middle Atlantic Chapter of the Society. Personal correspondence files contain letters from both private rhododendron growers and nurseries. Organizational files consists chiefly of minutes of meetings of the Board of Directors of the national society, correspondence with the executive secretary, Paula Cash, and other officers, and papers of various national committees. Middle Atlantic Chapter files include correspondence with members and minutes for meetings of the chapter and its Board of Directors. Topics of interest in the various files include a study of the Dexter rhododendron, articles in the Journal of the Society, and the pollen bank and seed exchange run by the Society. The papers also contain indexes to the Journal of the American Rhododendron Society, newsletters of the Middle Atlantic chapter, and brochures and other material from national conventions.  Read more...
