Abstract:

Personal and official papers of the military aide and secretary to Franklin D. Roosevelt, including extensive correspondence, memoranda files and photographs. Also included are the papers, 1941-1967, of Frances Nash Watson about Watson's death and funeral; and personal correspondence, especially with Felix Frankfurter.

Of interest is a letter from Congressman Lyndon B. Johnson quoting a poem by Walter H. Cousins of Dallas "an' when God goes to cuttin' the cattle May he herd you off to the right, To a range of eternal sunshine, In a land where there haint no night."
