Abstract:

Contains photographs of primarily interiors and storefronts of Livingston Bros. retail clothing store (mainly women's apparel) in various locations in downtown San Francisco from the early 1900s to the 1970s. Most of the photos are from the 1920s. Along with images of merchandise, window displays, and models, there are a few photos of accounting offices, group gatherings and events, the "LB" women's basketball team, Tom Wing & Sons jewelery store and small group portrait including Wing, and portraits of the Livingston family members. Includes a panorama of an unidentified large group of men and women posing alongside the Fleishacker Paper warehouse. There are a few photos of Stockton Street, Geary Street, and a flooded Fillmore Street, and a reproduction of a permanent pass granted to E. Livingston from the Oakland Governor's Office.
