Notes: Brown morocco binding, gild tooled, in the 'Cathedral'- style. Spine divided into six panels by raised bands; each panel framed by double fillets (one broad, one thin) and containing a pattern of crocketed pinnacles, crocketed ogee pinnacles and other small motifs. Front and back boards have a framework of double fillets, enclosing a triple roll-tool border of Gothic motifs. Double fillet at edges of boards. Turn-ins; border of broad fillet with quatrefoil ornament at the angles. Edges of leaves gilt.

Title-page within vignette border headed by royal arms of Queen Victoria.
