Abstract:

A heartwarming and hilarious journey home by three generations of fathers and sons. Pop is a portrait of Hy Meyerowitz, a street sweet and funny 87 year-old who maintains his optimism about life in the face of old age and now Alzheimer's disease. Photographer Joel Meyerowitz, seeing his father aging, felt the need to spend more time with him and to make sure his own son, Sasha, would better know his grandfather. On a two-week, last adventure road trip from Florida back to New York City where Hy was born, the trio recaptures the fading memories of Hy's life.
