Abstract:

Discusses the connection between racism and politics. Chs. 1-2 (p. 7-24) deal with antisemitism, and with the similarities between antisemitism and "anti-Teutonism" (hostility toward Germans). In ch. 6, pp. 103-148 focus on racial antisemitism. Argues that contemporary antisemitism is characterized by the fact that it views the Jews as infamous and ascribes this to immutable racial qualities. Antisemitic parties are worse than all other parties, since they do not try to win over their opponents, but consistently fight the Jews, not for their opinions but for what they are. States that anti-Teutonism, which has become widespread during and after World War I, is the mirror image of antisemitism, since it also divides human beings into two categories, Germans and non-Germans, and labels the Germans as immutably infamous. In addition, both anti-Teutonism and antisemitism favor conspiracy theories. Inter alia, refutes the claims that the Jews are racially determined to be tradesmen and that treason under lies their seeming adaptability.
