Abstract:

Memoirs of a Jew born in Luck, Poland (now Lutsk, Ukraine), ca. 1931. She describes life under Soviet occupation from 1939, and under Nazi occupation from 1941, when the Jews were forced into the ghetto. Nekrycz, her mother, and brothers escaped from the ghetto into the nearby forests. She found work with a Ukrainian family, and used to go to the forests to bring food for her family. One day in 1942, when she went to see them, she found that they had all been murdered. She survived with the Ukrainian family. After the war she emigrated to Palestine, and later to Brazil.
