When Henry Fitzroy ran away from school he managed to find a place on the stagecoach to London. This book is about the days before trains and cars when horse-drawn coaches were the only means of fast travel. There is a chapter which tells you exactly how coaches were built, how they were driven and what it was like to travel in them. If you would like to see some of the old coaches and the inns where they changed horses, the last chapter tells you where they can still be found.
