Summary:	Dieses Buch dokumentiert die erste umfassende Retrospektive des 1980 geborenen Schweizer Künstlers Nicolas Party. Der heute in New York wohnhafte Party hat sich in den letzten Jahren als einer der wichtigsten Protagonisten der internationalen Gegenwartskunst etabliert. Nicolas Party - Rovine (italienisch für Ruinen) präsentiert eine Auswahl von Pastellmalereien und Skulpturen, die Party seit 2013 geschaffen hat. Die thematischen Schwerpunkte des Buchs beziehen sich auf die zentralen Gattungen der Malerei: Stillleben, Landschafts- und Porträtmalerei. Hier setzt Party Akzente durch die Benutzung wilder, antinaturalistischer Farben sowie durch seine extrem präzise Umsetzung der Sujets. In je einem begleitenden Text erläutert der Künstler seine Faszination für jedes dieser Genres.
