Abstract:
This is an original interpretation of the wars that ravaged Russia for decades after the toppling of the Romanovs. The reverberations of post-Tsarist Russian wars still seen today from the Baltic to the Caucasus. The author considers why some were successful (Poland, Finland) while others were not (Ukraine, Georgia).
