Abstract:

This monograph is an evaluation of instruments used to measure attitude change in high school populations. These instruments are also tools for information seeking, and for both individual and group counseling. The instruments evaluated are The California Life Goals Evaluation Schedules, The Occupational Aspiration Scale, Occupational Interests Self-Analysis Scale, The Self-Directed Search, and the Vocational Preference Inventory. Each of these instruments is first described briefly in terms of 14 categories of analysis, and is then given a narrative description, an evaluation of its strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations for use.
