Tomus 3 is in 2 parts. The 2nd part of tomus 3 has 56 pages, with the text ending abruptly. According to the British Museum (Natural History) catalog, "The work was to have been completed in two or more fasciculi, but these, seemingly, never appeared."
"Monitum ad lectores. Etsi in praefatione hujus operis dictum sit, opus universum in duos tomos redigi posse, tamen tomum primum, ne mole sua nimis praegravaret, in binos divisimus; ideoque totum opus in tres tomos dispertire oportuit"--Tomus 2, page [3] (1st group, that is, the page headed "Parergi ... ").
Volumes 1 and 2 printed by the Stamperia Reale, Parma, under Giambattista Bodoni.
