Consists of selected papers of Thomas Philip Le Fanu.

Included are his files pertaining to censorship of the Irish stage: correspondence, reports, and material relating to his appearance as a witness before the Joint Select Committee of the House of Lords and the House of Commons on the Censorship of Stage Plays in 1909, where he explained how patents and the licensing of theaters worked in Ireland. There is correspondence (August-October 1909) with various officials, as well as a copy of the patent for the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, a list of theaters and music-halls for each provincial city, a summary of evidence, and a printed copy of the 1909 REPORT FROM THE JOINT SELECT COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSE OF LORDS AND THE HOUSE OF COMMONS ON THE STAGE PLAYS (CENSORSHIP).

Other files include notes, copies of documents, and correspondence (1910-1941) with Herbert Wood and others concerning the history of the Irish Privy Council; letters, notes, and printed matter on the occasion of the death of Queen Victoria in 1901; and miscellaneous notes, letters, and printed matter on various Irish topics. There is also one letter of his father, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (1868).
