Summary:
Consists of two folders.

The first letter was not dated by the writer, but Furness stamped it to indicate that he received in on 16 April 1903.

The second letter is dated 18 April [n.y.]. In it the writer thanks Furness "for your kind note--which was (unconsciously) written to 'Miss Norton' the septuagenarian, --C.E.N.'s sister, not his daughter." Apparently the writer of this letter was Charles Eliot Norton's daughter; this letter was most likely written between 1904 and 1914, when Charles Eliot Norton's sister, also named Grace, would have been in her seventies.  Read more...
