This book was published in 1928 and has a forward by the son of President Theodore Roosevelt, Kermit Roosevelt. The book is mostly concerning hunting in Africa for specimens for a museum. Hunting them and photographing them. It documents Clark's experiences with the animals and the country itself and people he was with. Clark was with both Theodore and Kermit Roosevelt on a safari. Clark also speaks of the natives of Africa and how they are so frequently misunderstood by Americans and Europeans. He also talks of the people who come over to hunt for sport and how frequently these people who pay a "Great White Hunter" to lead them also do not understand the very animals they are hunting. Mentioned in the book is the difference between a safari on foot and and safari on wheels. Clark speaks of the most deadly animal in Africa as being the Water Buffalo of all things. The book is very interesting and documents a time long gone to this World.
