UCLA has a complete run of this serial, originally put together for the use and files of the Union Oil Company. Bulletins from vols. 5-7 (1925/26-1927/28)--are numbered 1-12 starting in March and ending in February; for v. 8 (1928), there are only 10 issues (March-December) in order to re-start the numbering the following year with no.1 in January. An error in vol. labeling in 1929, however, foils the publisher's attempts at such regularity: v. 9 begins correctly, numbered as 1-7 through July, but in August, the vol. designation changes to 10 through December, but is still numbered sequentially from the earlier vol. (no. 8-12). Vols. 11-13 come in regular monthly issues, with a mistake in May 1932, where apparently no issue was ever put out (a secretary's note, pasted to the cover of the June issue, explains that that issue was sought throughout the company and when no one could find one, they concluded it had never been made). Vols. 15-17 (1933-35)) were put out half as often, then v. 18-19 (1937-38) returned to monthly issues. At the end, vols. 20-22 (1939-1941) were issued quarterly, with no 4th issue appearing for either 1940 or 1941; a secretary's note pasted to the last issue claims that the periodical would be "discontinued for the duration of the war").
