The book Whatever Happened To The Pony Express is a rhyme based book. I preferred having it read to me as opposed to reading it myself; it was easier to enjoyh the flow that way. It appears to be geared towards the primary grades, although it has fun information for intermediate raders as well. The illustrations were fun to look at and also helped foster an understanding of what the book was saying. While I enjoyed the letter snippets in the book, it made it a little confusing to follwo the story -- Was I reading about this family or the Pony Express? Overall, the book was not that memorable. It was a nice read, but not something that stays with the reader
