Breathtakingly beautiful in parts. An Ojibwa artist illustrated this. Not all the stories are Ojibwa, at least one is Inuit. Has a discussion of storytelling among indigenous peoples that is nice, also. The closest comparable is Joseph Bruchac, but this book is still very much in a class of its own. I hope it inspires other indigenous peoples to record their teaching stories, the way this one is done. Exquisite.
