Abstract:
Collection of material, much of it gathered by Thomas S. Weaver, pertaining to various aspects of Windham, Connecticut, history. Half of the collection is newspaper clippings dating from the late 19th century to the 1930s. The other half is original manuscript material. Topics include historic buildings such as the town jail, bull frogs, the Windham Bacchus, churches, and people in the town's history, including Eliphalet Dyer. The material consists of account books, legal documents (deeds, court cases), correspondence, and similar items. Items of interest include a freeman's oath.
