The four engraved leaves of plates comprise, a frontispiece portrait of the author, an illustration of a bust by John Michael Rysbrack of the dedicatee, an illustration of the author's monument, and a folding plate showing contemporary struck medals. The last is signed by the engraver, George Vertue.
