Poems, selected by Abū Bakr Ibn Ḥijjah.

Leaf 4 verso contains a poem in honor of Saladin. The poem on leaf 8 verso is repeated on leaf 61 recto. Leaves 30-60 (perhaps others also) apparently belong to another manuscript, containing poems by Zuhayr al-Muhallabī, presumably selected by the same Ibn Ḥijjah.

Copied in Cairo in A.H. 812 (A.D. 1409).

On folio 60a: A colophon of the selection from the poems of Zuhayr al-Muhallabī (Bahāʼ al-Dīn Zuhayr ibn Muḥammad, 1185-1258), presumably by Ibn Ḥijjah, as follows: "Hādhā ākhir mā ikhtartuhu min shiʻr ... Bahāʼ al-Dīn Abī al-Faḍl Zuhayr ... bi-al-Qāhirah ... fī shahr al-Muḥarram, sanat ithnay ʻashar wa-thamānimiʼah."
Translation of the colophon on folio (60a): "This is the end of what I selected from the poetry of ... Bahāʼ al-Dīn Abī al-Faḍl Zuhayr ... in Cairo ... in the month of al-Muḥarram of the year 812 [of the Hijrah = May/June 1409]."
Colophon (folio 67b): "Najaza al-mukhtār al-musammá bi-Zāwiyat shaykh al-shuyūkh bi-al-Qāhirah al-maḥrūsah fī ghurrat al-Muḥarram sanat ithnay ʻashar wa-thamānimiʼah ..."
